Mark Minasi is a best-selling author, popular technology columnist, commentator, keynote speaker, and all-around alpha geek. What separates him from many of the other alpha geeks, however, is that he knows how to explain things to normal humans and often make them laugh while doing it. That’s reflected in his recent Reader’s Choice award for “Favorite Technical Author” at CertCities. More testimony to his popularity with tech world came at a recent SearchWin2000 webcast on tuning computers. At that webcast, Mark drew three times as many attendees as any previous webcast, crashing Yahoo!’s servers.
He is probably best known for his books in the Mastering series (Mastering Windows Server 2003, Mastering Windows NT Server, Mastering Windows 2000 Server, Mastering XP Professional, etc) and his perennial hardware PC repair and fix-it book The Complete PC Upgrade and Maintenance Guide, now in its 13th edition. His monthly columns in Windows and .NET Magazine are among the best-read in the periodical. Mark has also authored 19 other technology books, spoken on technical topics in 20 countries, and written and performed in a dozen technical education videos
Todd Lammle, CCSI, CCNA/CCNA Wireless/CCNP/CCSP/CCVP, MCSE, CEH/CHFI, FCC RF Licensed, is the authority on Cisco certification and internetworking. He is a world renowned author, speaker, trainer and consultant. Todd has over 29 years of experience working with LAN’s, WAN’s and large licensed and unlicensed Wireless networks, and has published over 50 books, including the very popular Sybex Cisco CCNA Study Guide & Sybex CCNA Wireless Study guide. Ed Wilson is a well-known scripting expert. He is a Microsoft Certified Trainer who has delivered a popular Windows PowerShell workshop to Microsoft Premier customers worldwide. Ed has written six books on Microsoft Windows scripting for Microsoft Press. His three Windows PowerShell books are Windows PowerShell 2.0 Best Practices, Windows PowerShell Scripting Guide, and Microsoft Windows PowerShell Step by Step. He has also written or contributed to almost a dozen other books. Ed holds more than 20 industry certifications, including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Before coming to work for Microsoft, Ed was a senior consultant for a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner where he specialized in Active Directory design and Exchange Server implementation. Ed and the “Scripting Wife” Teresa live in South Carolina. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, underwater photography, and scuba diving. And tea.
Laura E. Hunter
Laura E. Hunter is a six time recipient of the Microsoft MVP award and now works for Microsoft. She is the author of several technical columns as well as the Active Directory Cookbook, Second Edition from O’Reilly Publishing, and a regular speaker and “Ask the Expert” resource at regional and national technical conferences including Microsoft Tech Ed. Laura E. Hunter has 400 leve experience in areas such as Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Windows Identity Foundation; Active Directory migrations, acquisitions, mergers, and restructuring; Exchange 2003 – 2010, and Active Directory Rights Management.
Joe is a Microsoft Certified Engineer working for Bryan S Ryan, The Complete Office Solutions Provider. As a Senior Engineer, he supports Windows Server 2000/2003 & 2008 and SBS 2000/2003 for SME’s in the greater Dublin area. There is also a long but optimistic list of SBS2008 customers.
Most times Joe will profess to knowing more about Whiskey that Servers, lives with 3 DNS gremlins and is looking for his ideal job as a DHCP Administrator for some lucky company.
Ton is a technical consultant specializing in Microsoft Infrastructure solutions. He has trained people on Exchange, Powershell, and designed and implemented a SharePoint 2010 deployment. He also has extensive experience deploying and maintaining Citrix Xenapp.
Stacy Hein began his career as a Database Consultant 7 years ago. In his more the 12 years experience with various RDBMSs (SQL, ORACLE, MySQL,…), Stacy’s clients have included several very large organizations like Microsoft, Rockwell Collins, Wells Fargo, and Snap Fitness across many industries like manufacturing, financial services, retail, and software development. Stacy continues to present at technical forums, mentor, and train others.
Scott Calvet is currently a Systems Engineer with VMware, holding over 10 industry certifications with specific expertise in virtualization and end-user computing across the big 3 platforms. Prior to VMware he worked in the trenches on the customer side for over 12 years holding various positions from admin to architect, to manager. He speaks regularly at VMware Knowledge Series, VMUG’s, and various other technology events in the Northeast. When he’s not busy being a complete and total IT nerd, he moves on to nerding out on other things like American history, and cooking.
